Manchmal ist es auch der physische Raum: mein winziges wiener ‚Wohnungerl‘ verwandelt sich zusehends in ein Teestudio… wobei die Kompromisse mit normalem Leben in dem Raum immer wieder neu verhandelt werden. („to sofa or not to sofa, that is the question…").
Letzte Woche kamen endlich die (Hong Kong mid-century) Stühle, um gemeinsam zu sechst an einem (jetzt höheren) Teetisch Platz nehmen zu können.
My own definition of CháDào is: deciding how much space you personally want to give to tea in your life.
First and foremost, of course, I mean time, energy, money, priority...
But sometimes it's also physical space: my tiny Viennese flat is gradually transforming into a tea studio... with the trade-offs with normal life in the space being renegotiated again and again. ("to sofa or not to sofa, that is the question..."). Last week, the (Hong Kong mid-century) chairs finally arrived so that the six people can sit together at a (now higher) tea table and enjoy.
